And we finally sent the Dossier!

Today is a very exciting day! for the past 9 months we have been working on gathering our adoption paperwork. First the home study, then the assembly of the Dossier...An incredible amount of paperwork, notarized certificates, medical and psychological exams, photographs, letters, etc. After mailing the Dossier to Colombia this morning, I got a huge sense of accomplishment...it feels like we are moving forward. Now we wait...we wait for our documents to be translated, we wait for the dossier to be submitted to the ICBF (Instituto de Bienestar Familiar), we wait for them to approve us, we wait for a referral, we wait to travel to finally meet our child. (Sigh!). As long as we feel we are making progress, the wait is bearable...We have waited a long time so far, a few more months (hopefully not years) will be survivable. Our lives are great. We have been able to travel and play. We have enjoyed each other for 13 years.
